Week 18 Saturday Report

Well I servived week 17 a&b. Thank You to all my loyal supporters and MKMMA family. Ok I know you can tell this is Tuesday so why does my blog title read Saturday Report? I would be glad to fill you in.

As of my last blog and Tribe session I have been running all kinds of things through my mind. Most of which don’t mean a thing. I found the spirit and put him to work on the readings and organizing my to do list. Still have a couple of things to do but I am feeling much better. Things are good.

The Saturday before week 18 I found myself once again in front of the tv. Yeah Mark I know! No TV! I would like to say I wasn’t watching, well not 100% ,anyways. What came on next at eight I was not prepared for. As we all know of the passing of Clenn Frey of the Eagles. Tragic no doubt. As I was saying, the next thing to come on just happened to be “The History of the Eagles”.  This I had to see! It turned out to be approximately 4 hours long. Good thing I got to sleep in.

The show was full of how they started, their breakup to their reunion. A pretty heart felt story if you ask me. I sat intensified and glued to the screen. Mother wondering is this is all that is on, and I informed her this is it. I wasn’t budging. Something was pulling me in. What was it?

At one point Glenn Frey was saying how in the beginning he was no good at writing songs.”How do they do it?” Glenn boarded just below Randy Meisner. (Before the band formed) Randy would spend hours if not days working on a song progression. Glenn recalls hearing the kettle whistle and Randy would stop. Awhile later Randy be back at it, bar after bar. Boil the kettle, quite, then back at it. Persistence!  BAM! It hit me. YES!!!!!!!!! I said to myself. I am really intense now. Not to mention the music which brought me into my teens was vibrating within to the point when I went for the kettle I found myself dancing in the front hall.  Now this isn’t the point to my early blog. It wasn’t till they started tell ing story behind the song the Eagles are famous for. How it was written to the meaning of the words.IMG_0440

Yes Hotel California!

Here is another history lesson for you about me. I am a born drummer. From my early days of barely reaching the counter top  in a restaurant to buying my own set and playing it as the drummer of my high school stage band. I was pounding on anything and everything I could get close to. People would say to my folks, “for crying out loud buy that kid some drums”. They never did. I have to pay for them myself and it wasn’t till I got to high school. Anyhow back to my vibrating soul.

I won’t get into the meaning of the lyrics according to the Eagles. You can google it like I did. Nice guy right? 🙂

Now you know how Mark J loves metaphors? Right? Well as Glenn is telling his story he mentions some of the things the public thought the song was all about. For Glenn and possible the Eagles it meant to them all about the transition from innocence to wisdom. WOW!That is powerful. But as They tell about the rest of the songs that made up their Greatest Hits album it all took shape. BAM! BAM! BAM! YES!!!!!! This is just what I needed to here at this time. My salvation! I Get it! Even more than ever.

So to you all I write what Hotel California means to me. Are you ready? Hey Kelvin! How deep do you think I can go?

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair(On the road of my bliss,  visions filled up my head)
Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air(All my dreams and desires, rising up to be aired)
Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light( Stopped at a friend’s and spent the night ) Connie.
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim( Stressed and tired, dreams are getting thin)
I had to stop for the night(Time for rest, time to take charge)

There she stood in the doorway, I heard the mission bell ( She invited me in, I heard a Herald call)

Then I was thinking to myself this could be Heaven or this could be Hell ( What the hell am I doing? Can this really go well? Pyrimid scheme?)
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way (Introduced Network  presentation)
There were voices down the corridor I thought I heard them say (Old Blue Print Rises saying)

“Welcome to the Hotel California ( Sucker, not for you)
Such a lovely place (sugar coating)
(Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face (more sugar coating)
Plenty of room at the Hotel California (Lots are taken in )
Any time of year ( You can always come back later)
(Any time of year)
You can find it here” (They are all around )

Her mind is Tiffany twisted, she got the Mercedes Bends (Lots to have, unlimited riches )
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys that she calls friends ( lots of friends, willing to help)
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat ( rejoicing and happy
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget   for the people they helped)

So I called up the captain, “Please bring me my wine” ( Give me a pen, where do I sign )
He said, “We haven’t had that spirit here since 1969” ( Thanks, you will do fine)
And still those voices are calling from far away (Still in the back of my mind )
Wake you up in the middle of the night just to hear them say ( Old blue print rises again)

“Welcome to the Hotel California (Sucker, not for you )
Such a lovely place (Sugar coating)
(Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face (more sugar coating )
They’re living it up at the Hotel California ( Laughting with your money )
What a nice surprise ( An’t that no Prize )
(What a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis” ( This is your demise )

Mirrors on the ceiling, the pink champagne on ice ( Confussion, why am I here )
And she said, “We are all just prisoners here of our own device” ( You thought you here)
And in the master’s chambers they gathered for the feast ( MKMMA )
They stab it with their steely knives but they just can’t kill the beast ( Facing OBPrint )

Last thing I remember I was running for the door ( Pannic, being lost hit the floor)
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before ( Backup to where I fell )
“Relax,” said the night man, “We are programmed to receive ( MK Guides reensurance )
You can check out any time you like but you can never leave ( You can “Sign of in Honour” But you can never leave your Old Blue Print )

I’m no songwriter. Finally I can get this song out of my head. LOL I should have witten my thoughts down. It sounded better at work, but you hopefully get my meeting. Sort of explains what’s been happening in my head since 2014.  Hotel California was to the Eagles their Bliss, What made them Iconic. One hell of a DMP and they probably never saw it coming as they searched for that progression.

Yeah I know I may have some of you wondering what the hell is he’s on now. Pure energy.  Oh yeah and it cut into my reading for tonight too. Oh Well.

Thanks Kelvin I thought you’d like that one. Great idea with the recorder only thing is I ware a mask all day and I would need to cut out the sound of the saw mill. Just a tad bit loud.

DUDE!! You are a stoned (no, not that way) bonafide TRIP! That was awesome. You people with imagination amaze me — and yeah, you went pretty deep. Thanks for the shout out! AND I was a drummer! One more thing we have or had in common 🙂 BTW I meant $35 digital recorder earlier. You took us down quite the path there but it’s fascinating to see the meaning you put into things. And your energy was palpable. It had mass, my friend. GREAT post. GREAT energy…. and now I have Hotel California stuck in my head and I’m going to have to look those meanings (sigh). You’re evil — in an awesome kind of way. Keep winning!

Hey Danny, I watched the same show with my husband. We loved the 70’s. Great lyrics and great meanings from your heart. Isn’t it amazing that these “things” come into our lives at just the right time. God knows your heart!

It is down right frighting at times. LOL Then it is said all things happen for a reason. Good or Bad it all works out for the best. Mahalo.

Great blog Dan. You put a great deal of thought into it. I smiled when I pictured you dancing in the hallway!

    dannycl - February 6, 2016

Well Conster I have all day a work to think. Now if there was a device I could put on my head to record my thoughts I could really blow everyone’s mind when I blog.

      Kelvin - February 17, 2016

Just get you a 35 digital recorder and a lapel mic and you’ll be set!

Wow!! Sounds like a case of ‘a mind, once stretched, can never return to its original shape’. You’re expressing more magnificence all the time. Much respect from me!!!

    dannycl - February 3, 2016
