Week 22 Silence is Golden

At least it would be provided you are not deaf.

So here I am again. Usual thought and ponder. The Master Key lesson for this week is still in Thought. Of coarse the whole MKE coarse has been in thought. By now one would think we are all experts in the field.

We are asked to concentrate on:

Tennyson’s beautiful lines “Speak to Him, thou, for He hears, and spirit with spirit can meet, Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet.” Then try to realize that when you do “Speak to Him” you are in touch with Omnipotence.

How do we do this? In silence and stillness. We have been practicing this now for five months now for 15-30 plus minutes. We have been given a challenge or shall I say:

Your mission Dan, should you choose/decide to accept it, …is to take a Vow of Silence, no electronics, no TV, phones or any interruptions of any kind, and we mean of any kind for as long as you possibly can manage. A few hours to 2-3 days.  You are however alloyed to maintain your master key readings, but only in silence.
As always, should you or any of your Master Mind. Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This blog will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Dan.

I look forward to taking on this mission as soon as I can clear a space on my calendar. My next challenge is to find the space where I can be one with myself. I cannot do this at home due to I do not live alone. So I will have to make arrangements for family to visit with mother. As I am involved with our local theatre group We are currently in rehearsal and our production opens April 22nd-23rd. I am sure others in this coarse have similar challenges.

I have been offered a free room and a promise to be quite from one of my classmates but she can’t speak for her dog. Would a dog be an interruption?

I have some planing to do. I have looked up about taking a Vow of Silence and there are some facts to consider.

Let all who needs to know what and why you are doing this. Eliminating as many interruptions as possible will make it much easier. If you can do this at home all the better, but if booking a room/space somewhere in the world without you will need to prepare your meals. Are you cooking yourself or making arrangements with someone or place to have meals at set times without communication.

The vow of silence. Some days it was really hard to keep. Then there is communication. If needed for emergencies will you break silence or have special signals. A pad and pen would be a good item. You just never know what will come through. If all goes well your spirit and the universal spirit will meet.

The following link is of a blog I came across while searching about taking the Vow of Silence. I like to know where I am heading even when I have never travel the road. After all this isn’t for the faint of heart and to be silent for any length of time will challenge you mentally as well as physically.

The 5 Transformations You Experience When You Take a Vow of Silence.

https://thespiritscience.net/2015/09/04/the-5-transformations-you-experience-when-you-take-a-vow-of-silence/

This is one person’s experience and we will all experience it differently, but having a little insight to what one can expect is always helpful.  So have a look if you like or plunge into the unknown with both feet.

Are you ready?

Thanks Robert.
Your blog is very helpful here. I did get a good walk in silence on Sunday, and now paying for it in my calves.

masterkeyrea - March 9, 2016

Dan, that was “mission impossible” creative. I just Loved it. You are prepared enough to have a good time in the Silence. forget what you feel and think. You will go way beyond all that. I can not possibly give you my experience. I will say “just do it” and thing fall into place easily.

Dammit Dan, the cartoon made me spit out coffee I laughed so hard!!! Seeing a Monk will never be quite the same…………

    dannycl - March 6, 2016

LOL Sorry bout that Rex! I have been feeling my humor has been slipping lately and had to step it up a notch. Have you done your Vow of Silence yet? If not you may want to take steps so that cartoon doesn’t manifest itself durring your silence.

Fortunately, I did a 5 hour sit yesterday. No laughter allowed, but plenty of smiles!

Thanks Conster!
I suppose I need to clear calendar space for calls also. LOL

At full speed with a good head of steam backing me. Mahalo.

Kelvin - March 4, 2016

GREETINGS Dan the Man! Good job. As you know, I haven’t done this. I’ve spoken to a number of people who have — however — and all those I spoke with related a positive experience. But you’re right, it’s definitely something I’ll need to structure in at some point. I live alone (at least until my DMP is fully implemented. LOL) so quiet is a lot easier for me. Typically, the ringer is off on my home phone and my cell “slips” into Do Not Disturb mode more often than one might think. So it’s easy for me to slip into a couple of hours of focused silence and sometimes just that is enough to bring me clarity — so I’m sure DAYS of it could be monumental. I’ll keep an eye on your calendar schedule — since we’re going to stay connected through our mastermind anyway 🙂 Have fun!

    dannycl - March 4, 2016

Thanks Kelvin! When I do schedule the time my tribe will be the first to know. I will run my POA by all of you so that I don’t forget something. I’m leaning towards a full three days and will prob fast to some extent also.

    mommamccracken - March 5, 2016

I am sure you and Dan both have a new someone on the horizon???

traceymasterkey - March 4, 2016

As usual you have researched and thought about the task prepared everybody and yourself …thanks I managed to do a few hours ..it was restorative but hard logistically to do for longer ..I focus on my breath much more magical calming effect .

    dannycl - March 4, 2016

Thanks Tracey! I am realizing more and more that my core colour white is truly the new green in Big Al’s Four Colors of Personalities for MLM. I just have to know all the facts, what’s what. And I thought I was Yellow back in 2014.

Chris - March 4, 2016

Great post Danny! You have reminded me that although this course has been quite challenging I need to remember to enjoy the ride. I too need to plan when to try the exercise of silence, but I think it is definitely needed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    dannycl - March 5, 2016

Thanks Chris! May our silent journey be full.
