Week 23 Often Talked About
But Seldom Photographed
As we move into week 23 we hear these words we have heard in past weeks.
We Have Reached A Fork In The Road!
So! What’s Up With this fork?
The first thing that comes to mind is: Don’t use it! If someone left it behind they probably realize it has less value than the knife and spoon. Hmmm….Not to mention how unsanitary it would be. In survival mode a knife serves two purposes. A weapon to get food and a tool to cut it up. Actually it can serve a third depending on it’s tip. It can act as a fork to pick up one’s food. Then there is the spoon. No holes or slots like the fork so it is easier to scoop up food or water. So it is no wonder that we hear of this so often. Then again I could be wrong!
The fork in the road is a turning point. Like water, do we take the path of least resistance or do we defy gravity and seek the path of more effort? Be mindful though that you don’t get lost along the way or you may find yourself going in circles destined to repeat the past. Now just to make sure, we don’t want to get confused between path of least resistance with the Law of Least Effort. Sounds like they are the same but they are not. Mark and the Crew have given us more tools now that we are on the home stretch. There are three parts to this law. Acceptance, Responsibility and Defencelessness.
I practice acceptance. Today I accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur. I know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be.I do not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish they were.
Having accepted things as they are, I take responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and that includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise and this alertness to opportunities allow me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.
Today my awareness remains established in defencelessness. I relineish the need to defend my point of view. I feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I remain open to all points of view and am not rigidly attracted to any one of them.
Appleying the Law of Least Effort means Living each day with Acceptance, Responsibility and Defencelessness.
WOW! Combine these with the 7 Laws of the Mind, No Opinions, Emerson, Og and Haanelb and you are armed to not fail. So What are you pretending not to know? What does the person You intend to become do next?
I take a look back on the past few weeks and as I realize I am progressing I also have a ways to go. I just about choked on the Law of Least Effort. For each day my button gets push and fighting that beast with the tools I had was not easy to say the least. NOW! With this new tool it is a lot clearer. I won’t say a lot easier right now but certainly I am ready to wheel the tool before the button is fully pushed. Considering that one of my biggest challenges is Mother’s pessimistic ways and her short term memory, I need to be on guard 24/7. Yup! Acceptance in play, 100%.
I Always Keep My Promises!
Remember these words?
You should! Well I made a promise some blogs back when we where introduced to the Guy/Gal in the Glass. Who recalls me stating that after two weeks of saying this in the mirror that suddenly one day I found myself singing the words? It felt odd saying the words to the guy in the glass and once put to a tune, all felt like it was meant to be.
So, my loyal friends and masterminds that promise was as soon as technology and the universe where to align themselves in my world I would share this with you. My Tribe mastermind and Guide along with a business partner have had the honour of hearing it. Now I have recently edited to fit in with what Mark and our Guides keep telling us to do with our DMPs. “Keep It In The Present Tense” So sit back, grave a beer and DON’T expect to hear Tom Jones or the next Canadian Idol!
I Bring to you my version of the Guy In The Glass.
