Week 7 I Will Love Obstacles (or not) 4 They Are My Challenge

Week 7 brings more insight into what is the new me or the original me re-discovered. Sort of like digging up a buried treasure.
The 7 day mental diet! No opinions for seven days. Fall off the wagon, and you start all over at day one. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.. I started on Wednesday, come Thursday it was start again. So now it’s Friday day one. If I am not careful this may be a life long obsession. I am glad we are following the compass and not the clock on this.
Scroll 2 reads “I will Love the Rain for it cleanses my spirit.” It has been raining all week so I am assuming my spirit is somewhat dirtier than usual.
The guy in the glass surprised me a couple of days ago. As I started to read I found myself signing the words instead to a pretty good beat. I keep thinking I should tune the old guitar and record it. It is getting easier to remember the words. The rock star is being born.
Then there is the recording of our DMP/PPNs etc.
After reading some of the concerns other MKMMA classmates where facing got me thinking. Now I have gone from PC to Apple and I have four Apple devices. So This shouldn’t be a problem right?
I said to myself. “Self, let’s use the MacBook with the GarageBand app. I’ll save it as a MP3 and then email it to myself so I will have a copy on all devices.”
Simple right? It took a couple of trial runs to figure out how to use GarageBand. The recording done and saved as MP3. Next step, email. Great! Let’s open it up and see how it sounds.
And here I am back at the drawing board. I Welcome Obstacles for they are my Challenge. I have been getting lots of challenges this week. A buddy who is in the middle of a construction job had a heart attack last Friday. All is good but he has to lay low for a bit. He asked me to run the gauntlet between crews as his stress level needs work. A new challenge and one I’d rather not do. So I have been a wee bit stressed but it is going well.

On a lighter side I tended a free speed reading class last night, provided by one of our guides. Very interesting and full of info that would surprise you, like what else the subby can do with all of our senses. Emerson here I come. I scanned through him today without falling asleep. Now to let subby handle the rest. Having taken this free class I can safely say with my expert opinion that if you haven’t taken this oprtunity, then Do it Now.

A challenge isn’t it so! Maybe one should read a little bit each day as to all in one sit.

Dan, I’m loving all the openness to integrating the benefits from MKMMA practices. Your spontaneous song of Guy in the Glass is such an inspiration for us all. I appreciate you sharing how that happened as a natural evolution for you. Technology glitches seem to be constant these days, love your attitude in being with it all. Interesting how much choice we have when it comes to feeling stressed, isn’t it? I,too, love your humor and absolutely delight in who you are!

Congratulations of getting the DMP read to music. I am still working on that ….. this week it will get done. I think the mental diet is such a wake up call for us all. Congrats on just starting over when needed. I would love to hear your recording of the Guy in the Glass sung by you. Keep up the great work. Barbara

I’m going to take your advice and take one of the speed reading classes. See if my subby can’t pick up on some more good stuff. Thanks for sharing Dan.
